GRID rules calculator

Medical-Vocational Guidelines (20 CFR Part 404, Subpart P, App 2). For workers 50+, the GRID can direct an "approved" finding even when you could do some work. Younger workers usually have to win on medical grounds alone.

This is a computational shortcut for the GRID tables. ALJs sometimes rule "framework basis" outside of these direct rules — the actual decision can include vocational-expert testimony, non-exertional limitations, and case-specific findings.
