Quick screen against SSA's two main gates: SGA (income) and work credits — plus a Date Last Insured estimate and a concurrent SSDI/SSI check.

Your monthly gross income from work right now ($) Income from disability, child support, gifts, etc. doesn't count — only earnings from work. Years worked taking out taxes (W-2 / 1099 with self-employment tax) A rough estimate is fine — about 4 credits per year you worked roughly full-time. SSDI needs 40 credits with 20 in the last 10 years for adults over 31. Year you last worked (for DLI estimate) SSDI insurability typically ends ~5 years after you stop working enough quarters. Total countable resources ($) — bank accounts, investments, second car, etc. Your home, one car, and household goods don't count. SSI limit: $2,000 single / $3,000 couple. Household Are you legally blind? Worked in last 5 years?
